The Department of International Studies in the School of Global and International Studies, College of Arts and Sciences, Indiana University Bloomington seeks applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the history of international relations broadly construed, including diplomatic, economic, grand strategy, environmental, religious, and cultural aspects. Areas of research and teaching will include, but are not limited to, interactions between the United States and the wider world. Applicants should have a PhD or anticipate its completion by the time of appointment (August 2015) and must demonstrate an active and creative research program, along with strong teaching credentials.

The new position will be in Indiana University’s new School of Global and International Studies, and the successful applicant will be engaged in building a graduate curriculum and research profile to make the new school a focal point for the study of international affairs and societies and cultures around the world. IU is also home to the journal Diplomatic History.
